You're a Smart Student, so Borrow Smart with your Student Loans!
Luckily, I went to school for free because I got a full ride. I honestly don't know how it happened because I really was never in any AP classes in high school, or had a stellar GPA. Probably because my high school was a top ranking one in the nation and most of the kids went to Harvard or other high class schools, they wanted a good name on their record and gave me a full ride.
However it happened, I - unlike many other of my peers - did not have to take out student loans.
These days, people borrow everything for everything. The problem with this increasing dependency on debt is that your life turns into slavery and nothing is ever yours. Of course, this is not always the case, and smart borrowing can get you ahead of others if you plan it.
Such is the case with student loans. Smart borrowing is all about having a plan - a plan to succeed and a plan to pay it off. A plan to come out stronger. The problem mentioned before is not that people borrow, really, but that people borrow without a plan and then are clueless about how to pay off their mountain of debt. So, next time you want to take out student loans - think about why you're doing it, how you are paying them off and if you can save any money by, say, going to community college instead for certain classes.
It's all about borrowing smart!
